Kemijärvi is a small town in Finnish Lapland with a population of only 7.000. It lies just above the Arctic Circle. Surrounded by lakes, forests, and open wilderness, it offers a quiet and unhurried way to experience the North.

Jauri Resort offers a peaceful lakeside setting with excellent opportunities to see the Northern Lights. Even though our resort is close to town, there is very little light pollution around. Observe the night sky on location or join our guided aurora tour!

Unlike many other Lapland destinations, getting here is simple—you can arrive by train, bus, flight, or rental car, and we’ll help with the final leg of the journey.
The train and buses run directly to Kemijärvi, and Rovaniemi Airport is just a 1-hour drive away.
